ABOUT AMBOSELI
Amboseli National Park is a gem in Kenya’s safari circuit, famous for its large elephant herds and stunning vistas. Nestled at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the park offers some of the best views of Africa's highest peak, which dominates the horizon and provides a striking backdrop to the rolling plains. The park is a sanctuary for a variety of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, buffalo, and diverse bird species, but it’s the elephants that steal the show — often seen in impressive, dust-covered herds. With its vast, open landscapes, salt flats, and wetlands, Amboseli offers a mix of dramatic scenery and an abundance of wildlife, making it a top destination for photographers and nature enthusiasts.
LAND OF GIANTS
Amboseli National Park is renowned for its iconic herds of elephants, where vast groups roam the open plains, creating an unforgettable sight. The park’s expansive landscapes, dotted with acacia trees and shimmering salt pans, offer stunning panoramic views, especially with Mount Kilimanjaro towering in the distance. The majestic peak, often crowned with snow, looms over the park, creating a dramatic contrast against the sparse savanna. This combination of abundant wildlife, particularly the elephants, and the breathtaking backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain makes Amboseli a must-visit for photographers wanting to capture truly epic sights..

PHOTOGRAPHY
Surrounded by natures giants and iconic wildlife Amboseli is the place to visit if you dream of capturing that iconic shot of elephants marching infront of Mount Kilimanjaro. Long lenses are appropriate for the vast open spaces we’l be traversing, with a focus on elephants, birds and predators.
We’ll be operating from a lodge based inside the national park, meaning once out the gates we’re in the thick of the action and have the utmost flexibility in how we tackle our game drives. Making use of a private 4x4 Land Cruisers for our safari game drives means we can spread out more as a small group and accommodate more camera gear. Depending on the layout, we may alternate as a smal group and accommodate more camera gear. Depending on the layout, we may alternate seating positions so that everyone has the same experience throughout - but we like to keep it relaxed and casual, with as much space and comfort as possible.
Sam and the guide wil be working to give you the best angles, positions and backdrops possible to make sure you go home with a remarkable new library of images. Sam wil be talking through different processes of how to tackle different subjects and scenes - experimental and traditional whilst also offering photo editing tuition and help back at the lodge.
